The San Joaquin Valley Jazz Festival, hosted by Buchanan High School, is usually held the first weekend in February. The 2009 Festival is no exception and is slated for Feb. 6th & 7th at the beautiful Buchanan Educational Center (Buchanan High School) at 1560 N. Minnewawa Ave., Clovis, CA 93619. If you have any questions about registering your band, please contact the festival director, Paul Lucckesi by clicking on his name. All festival related documents will be posted here as soon as they are available - usually by the end of winter break. Once the Festival is over, final scores and festival photos will be posted here as well.

A special thanks to all the parent volunteers that cooked, served, chaperoned and helped in any way to make the 20th Anniversary of the Festival special. We're looking forward to another great festival in 2009!

WOW! What a musician! And, what a nice guy, too! Terell Stafford rocked the house! PLEASE hop on over to his website and check him out. If you missed out on purchasing one of his CD's while at the festival, take advantage of the variety available on his site AND you can even listen to him play while you browse!

Prime real estate in this program is on a first come, first served basis, so get your reservation in early and DO NOT MISS OUT!

If you are interested in volunteering at the festival, we have many opportunities available! Take a look at the volunteer list then use the form below to contact us & get your name on the list. Parent support is needed in the following areas: ticket sales, concessions, sponsorships, hospitality, escorts, cook & cook's assistant, security and clean up to name a few. If you're new to working the festival, it is very rewarding, AND we take the stress out of it for you by pairing you up with seasoned volunteers AND providing written guidelines at each station!
