As the event date draws closer, more info will be posted regarding volunteers/chaperones on the VOLUNTEER TO HELP page. If you open the "Schedule Only" document above, we have included on it the minimum amount of volunteers needed for every event as a guideline as well as links to the events website whenever possible. We encourage everyone to participate especially for our main fundriaser, the San Joaquin Valley Jazz Festival. Please contact Roberta Shackelford to get signed up for any event NOW!! It's never too early to get signed up.
Jazz Attire
Jazz Dress - semi - formal / dress attire is recommended for all Jazz competitions, and some Jazz performances. See the corresponding itinerary for each particular event, or contact Mr. Lucckesiif you're unsure.
If you don't have a suit or dress clothes see the list on the Freshman Info/Tips page for local stores that have suits at resonable prices. Also, check out the PARENT TO PARENT WANT ADS for gently used dress clothes. Kids grow so fast at this age, purchasing gently used clothing at bargain prices just makes good sense!
ASI JAZZ PARENTS!!! Did you know that you can participate in most of the FUNdraising opportunities offered by the Buchanan Band Boosters and earn money for your students account?? YES, you can! Don't hold back because it says Buchanan, or it's not Jazz. Step right up and starting building up that account balance now and you may get the year's fees covered. You'll be surprised at how easy it is to build up enough money so your out of pocket expense is minimal to NONE!!! You'll not only be having a great time earning, but you'll get a good idea of what's ahead for your student in the coming years when he/she gets to Buchanan. AND, you'll meet a great group of people along the way as well. Contact any of the boosters listed, or music directors if you have any questions. We hope to see you soon.
